Ever feel like you’re working hard but something invisible is holding you back? You might be right. If you’re Your subconscious mind doesn’t understand “next year” or “million dollars” – it only understands experiences. And that’s exactly why so many of us get stuck, even when we’re doing all the “right” things.
7-Figure Lesson: sometimes logic is not enough
I used to approach my goals purely from a logical standpoint. Revenue targets, client numbers, marketing metrics – all the typical business stuff. But something fascinating happened when I started working with high-achieving clients. I noticed that even with perfect strategies in place, some would still hit invisible walls.
Here’s what I discovered: Your subconscious mind is like a powerful but literal assistant. It doesn’t process abstract concepts like “success” or “wealth” – it processes sensory experiences. When I finally understood this, everything changed.
Let me share a powerful exercise that’s helped my clients break through their mental blocks:
The 5 Senses Success Programming:
Think about your biggest goal (let’s say it’s building a 7-figure business). Now, instead of focusing on the number, translate it into sensory experiences:
- If achieving that goal had a smell, what would it be? (For me, it’s fresh-baked bread – that sense of abundance and comfort)
- If it had a taste? (Maybe it’s that perfect cup of coffee that makes you feel unstoppable)
- If it had a feeling? (The smooth leather of a luxury car seat, perhaps)
- If it had a sound? (I always think of fireworks – that exciting boom of achievement)
- If it had a sight? (Maybe it’s the view from your dream office)
Now your subconscious recognizes these as signals of success. When those feelings come up again, your subconscious will nudge you towards a decision and suddenly you’ll find yourself taking inspired action you wouldn’t have considered before.
Take Action:
- Write down your biggest goal for the next quarter
- Complete the 5 senses exercise for this goal
- Spend 5 minutes each morning visualizing these sensory experiences
- Pay attention to the “random” ideas or urges that come up afterward
- Take immediate action on at least one of these intuitive nudges
Final Thoughts:
Real talk: This might feel a bit woo-woo at first. But remember – beliefs are the foundation of every action you take. If you believe something won’t work, you’ll take actions that ensure it doesn’t. Choose to believe in your success – it costs exactly the same as believing in failure, but the returns are infinitely better.
