3 proven triggers get 7 coaching clients in 14 days

In part 2 I shared the simple formula I used to make 5 figures in a month as a new coach.

There were 3 simple steps to that.

If you missed it, then you should read that now.

When I learned this simple formula, I got flooded with coaching client leads.

To be honest, my business was not quite ready for the flow of leads I began to receive so I took a step back to improve operations.

After systematizing that formula into a repeatable system, I flipped the switch on in November of 2016.

Three whole months after that first success.

At first I was nervous and scared that I had wasted too much time putting systems in place.

But then, back to back, I hit my next two five-figure months in November and December.

After November I was even able to eliminate unnecessary expenses as my systems started working……increasing my net income even more.

As I began to share my success with friends and—let’s be honest, on Facebook— friends and even outright strangers started to reach out, asking for my help.

Coaches started coming to me asking how my systems were working.

Why me?

I’m not special.

I paid my own way through college.

Then spent almost a year unemployed (even though I had two college degrees!) during the Great Recession.

My first few businesses flopped.

But I’m just too stubborn to give up.

And I finally found a formula that works.

Here’s the formula that worked for me:

  • I target potential coaching clients who have the problem I am prepared to solve.
  • I quickly build the know, like, and trust factor using a short presentation (also known as a webinar).
  • Often clients invest right away, but for those that do not, I follow up via email and invite them to work with me.

Most of this is managed with online systems so that I never waste time on sales calls that won’t convert, instead only spending my time speaking with the most motivated buyers.

Even better is that I was able to use this to book 1:1 coaching clients, group coaching clients, and even direct people into my on-demand courses.

I used to dread sales calls because most of them were with “tire-kickers” who were never going to invest anyway.

I often heard, “when can I get back to you?”

Then my system started booking me with pre-sold clients.

Each call felt like talking to a new friend.

Many of the clients were a perfect fit!

I started to hear, “how do we get started?”

And suddenly sales calls became easy and fun!

“How do we get started?”

I don’t want you to ever have to dread speaking with a potential client.

Keep reading and I’ll share the 3 proven triggers to gain 7 clients in less than 14 days.

Also known as how to get clients to convince themselves to buy what you’re offering.

When I started paying attention to my clients who got the results they wanted, I immediately recognized a clear pattern that held them back before we started working together.

First I saw that they were having a hard time getting a “yes” and immediate payment over the phone.

Most of the time they would hear “I need to think about it” or “when do I need to get back to you?” or even the dreaded, “wow, that’s more than I was expecting.”

If you’re hearing that, then just know that you’re not alone.

Second, I noticed that they were all trying similar things to gain clients online.

Some were old school tactics, and others were new ones.

Let me know if any of this sounds familiar:

Have you tried boosting a post to get calls booked but all you got was likes and maybe a comment from a supportive friend?

Are you blogging, podcasting, or posting to social media and not seeing a return?

Maybe you’ve even tried live streaming but you didn’t get the response you were expecting?

Or maybe you threw thousands of dollars at a launch only so see little to no return?

I could quickly see the bigger issue.

You see it wasn’t their fault.

And if you’ve been trying these tactics, it’s not your fault either.

Until today, you’ve only been seeing part of the picture.

But there’s a bigger issue.

The bigger issue is that they were all missing one thing.

So they came to me for help.

And when I asked them why they wanted help now, here’s what they said.

  • I’m overwhelmed trying to figure it out on my own.
  • I feel like I have all the different pieces and tools, and understand concepts but am not sure how to put it into a complete system.
  • I want an easy system where I don’t have to go running and chasing behind clients.

Does any of this sound familiar?

So we worked on the ONE thing they were missing.

Confidence in a repeatable system that would allow them to focus on serving their clients and not wasting time with everything else.

And once they had this, they were able to generate a return on their investment that didn’t require spending time at networking events, wasting money on advertising, or any high pressure sales.

There is a way to generate CONSISTENT new leads and coaching clients using a simple high-ticket sales funnel.

The truth is you cannot wait to put a sales process in place.

Your competitors understand that there is a cost to acquire a customer.

WARNING!

The coaching industry is growing at breakneck speed and new competitors are crowding your market daily.

A recent Forbes article commented that an estimated 1500 coaches are joining the industry each year.

In the U.S. alone the estimated market for the coaching industry was $707 million in 2011 and expected to grow to $1.34 billion by 2022.

That is just in the U.S.

Because we operate in a global market, your competitors are as well.

Western Europe was estimated to have the highest number of coaches with 18,800 coaches in 2016.

North America followed closely behind with an estimated 17,500 coaches in 2016.

The point is this: Without a marketing plan you’re practically handing your competition a silver platter with all the coaching clients.

But there’s good news.

There are 3 psychological triggers you can use right now to get coaching clients fast.

In fact, my client Amanda used these 3 triggers to get 7 coaching clients in 14 days.

Amanda Abella

Amanda is a millennial expert, influencer, and best-selling author.

She’s written for Inc Magazine, has been featured in Seventeen Magazine, and on the Entrepreneur on Fire podcast to name a few.She was offering 1:1 coaching sessions at a “reasonable” rate.

She decided to work with me because she was booking calls here and there with potential clients but not getting the results she wanted.

She realized she was leaving a lot of money on the table because many calls ended in, “I’ll get back to you.”

Even when her rates were “reasonable.”

She told me that she disliked pushy sales tactics and she didn’t want to pressure anyone into working with her.

With my help she got really clear on who she wanted as a client, what she was going to offer them, and how to speak with them.

We created her offer, packed it with value, and a price tag designed for a high-ticket client.

We then built the system designed to hit the 3 psychological triggers: know, like, and trust – using an online webinar presentation to help her generate more quality intro calls with high-ticket clients.

I also gave her a strategy for getting the client started on the first call.

She started booking calls with more qualified leads.

In just 2 weeks she filled her group coaching program with 7 new clients.

The majority of whom paid in full on the first call.

All because she hit those 3 triggers.

No more waiting 24 hours or accepting multiple pay plans.

You’ve probably heard that people buy from those that they know, like, and trust.

So these 3 psychological triggers are likely not something new.

But most people believe that it takes weeks, months, or even years to build up the know, like, and trust factor.

They believe that you need to follow up 7 times, or that you have to be a member of the same networking group.

When the truth is that a simple presentation filled with the right content can give a potential client everything they need to make a decision immediately.

But there is one final piece that must be included.

The final piece that makes this all come together is not always as obvious.

If you are still having trouble booking high ticket coaching clients then you’ll want to continue to… How you’re silently repelling high ticket clients (and what to do to fix it).
